USPTO Will Extend Deadlines by 30 Days Where Warranted

The United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) will extend most deadlines under the Trademarks Act that fall due between March 27 and May 31 until June 1, 2020 where the applicant provides evidence that a timely response could not have been filed due to the Covid-19 emergency.

Applicants are encouraged to file timely responses where possible to avoid the possibility that an extension of time is denied and to avoid any bottleneck that arises when these extensions of time expire.
