USPTO Suspension Period Expired June 1, 2020

The United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) extended most deadlines under the Trademarks Act that fall due between March 27 and May 31 until June 1, 2020 where the applicant provided evidence that a timely response could not have been filed due to the Covid-19 emergency.

As of June 5, 2020, the suspension period had not been extended. Applicants should therefore comply with all deadlines to avoid the inadvertent lapse of enforceable rights in any trademark application/registration.
